I will be touring William & Mary with my son in March. We are northerners looking to sample southern style food. Suggestions for dinner?

The Old Chickahominy House is a southern place, but they only serve breakfast and lunch. They have a very limited menu (ham biscuits, chicken and dumplings, etc.) and it really has unique character.

You can't leave Williamsburg without getting a sandwich with house dressing from The Cheese Shop. Every W&M student will tell you to go to this place. I'm an alum and it is the one place that I always go back to.

I don't have any good suggestions for southern style dinner food. The Fat Canary is a nice restaurant (owned by the same people who own The Cheese Shop), although it is a bit expensive and it is not "southern food".
