Pink Curing Salt

  • 9

Hey All,

Does anyone know where I can get pink curing salt with a hashgacha?

Thanks.

  1. I cannot find it online. Amazon has a number of pink seasoning salts that are kosher, but not curing salt.

Is Morton's Tender Quick kosher? I think I can see the symbol in this photo.

Tenderquick is in deed certified kosher.

    2. Ask your Rabbi, mine said no hashgacha necessary.

You are correct. The CRC confirmed that it does not require certification.

      2. What is it you would like to cure?

        1. Most of your outdoor outfitters have it. Sportsman's Warehouse (online) has plenty.

          1. Every prague powder I've seen in bulk is certified kosher. Be that as it may, it doesn't need a hechsher.

            1. My Rabbi said said no hashgacha is necessary. I use Hoosier Hill which is available on Amazon.com. My first batch of pastrami made with Michael Ruhlman's recipe was pretty darned good.
