does anyone have a good almond flour apple cake recipe?

  • 6

I have a 5 lb bag of almond flour that I'm trying to use up. I've tried several apple cake recipes, but haven't hit on one that I like. One of the problems I'm having is how much almond flour to use when a recipe calls for cups. Some recipes give weight, others do not. Some sites say that one cup of almond flour weighs about 4 ounces, but when I spoon it into my measuring cups then weigh it, I get just a little over 3 ounces. Before I try again, as ingredients are not cheap, does anyone have a good almond flour apple cake recipe that is tried and true? Feel free to share links to sites/blogs that you think could work. Thanks!

This looks delicious! Thank you for sharing. I don't have an 8 inch springform pan, though. Maybe I could make it in an 8 x 2 inch cake pan? Anyway, most appreciated.

I just made this one, using the almond flour. I'm not a great baker, but this was relatively easy and turned out great. I put a little almond extract in it, along with the vanilla. I could have baked it a bit longer.

Nigella has another one too, it is my favorite ( and I have used other citrus with good results)

Note: sorry...read too fast...missed the "apple part" :/

I made that one and it came out soggy. What did I do wrong?
