Sending vegetarian meal to sick relatives?

Please help an East Coast gal out! I have a San Diego cousin who is unfortunately dealing with a major medical crisis. If she were local, I'd love to bring her dinner, but as I'm several thousand miles away, delivery seems like my best bet. She has several small children, so I can't do anything too adventurous, and I'd like to send something vegetarian, as my experience of community-provided meals is that they can be very meat- and starch-heavy. Any suggestions? I believe that they live in the Carmel Valley area, and I obviously need somewhere that delivers. Thanks for your help!

    You might check out Rendezvous.

You should also peruse sites like ROTR (https://www.rotr.com/) and Seamless (http://www.seamless.com/) to see which restaurants deliver in your friend's neighborhood, and which also fit the cuisine profile you're after.

    Good luck.

This place does raw, but it's one possible option.

Native Foods in Encinitas is pretty good (and vegan, but with a lot of meat substitutes). I don't know if any service delivers their food, though.
