Said Chocolate, Soho, London

A branch of a chocolate store in Rome.
The chocolates are generally well made and good for the price -- nice snap indicative of good tempering, and reasonable depth of flavour. i personally prefer the the more luscious fruit and nutty qualities of the various chocolates from Rabot Estate (although they've cranked up the price since the move to a newer bigger store/restaurant in Borough Market).
Hot chocolate is rich, with a thick and nearly starchy consistency. Getting a small serving in an espresso cup is just right for me (bigger servings are available). I'm slightly more a fan of the more liquid version at (again) Rabot Estate with great flavour intensity, but no complaints with Said's version.
The star for me was the chocolate "pizza" - more of a chocolate sandwich consisting of two thin crusts with a slight bit of bread chewiness, a new crunch and crackle on the surfaces, and chocolate enlivened with (if I heard correctly) a good drizzle of olive oil that added multifaceted fruitiness and acidity.
