Can anyone tell me anything about these restaurants? I would greatly appreciate recommendations or warnings.

  1. I was last at Bonaparte two years ago. It is a very solid French restaurant with nice decor and solid service at a reasonable price. One can do much worse.

      1. Bonaparte French Restaurant, on St. Francois Xavier
in OLD MONTREAL, just south of rue Notre Dame and near
the famous Montreal Notre Dame Cathedral, is a very
polished restaurant for ambiance, decor service, etc.
But, THE FOOD, every last bite, every dish from their
professional menu, ranks, right up there. The big
break is their relatively "fair pricing" If you're
going to eat Authentic French, this is the place.
Finally, the waiters are unobtrusive, certainly NOT
        THE STUFFY, SNOBBY servers elsewhere.
