Anybody know what's happened to Terra Nostra ? It moved into the Pat's Kountry Kitchen site several months ago and I'm not certain that it ever opened, Never saw many cars in the parking lot and yesterday I noticed a "For Lease " sign in the window.

Weird. I drove by last night and wondered the same. Hadn't heard a peep since it first opened.

They own a second restaurant in Fort Myers, FL and there were signs up on the Old Saybrook property saying they were on vacation and would return in mid-February (can't remember the exact date of the stated return). When the date passed, I said to Mrs. CM, "I bet they never return. They'll just stay in Fort Myers where it's so much warmer..." And then the For Lease sign was hung up. I just assume they didn't do enough business during "the season" to justify staying in business and their off-season business was probably the final straw. We actually enjoyed eating there. When they first opened, we weren't real impressed....never found our "go-to" entrees there. But in the last six months or so we realized the way to go was some of the specials they offered which were quite good (example: Osso Bucco). RIP Terra Nostra...

Wow, that was quite the flash in the pan! My goodness! Such a prime location--let's hope the next tenants have a longer run of it, as Pat's did.

On a personal editorial note, they picked a great winter to get the flock outta here, don'tchathink? :)
