Thank you Montreal chowhounds one and all.

We just returned from a long weekend in your beautiful city. It goes without saying that we ate very well. Bagels in St Viateur, dinners at Cube, Toque! and L'Express, the farmer's market in Jean-Lapont and an unbelievable lunch at Ferreira. Great sushi at Kaizen, reggae and billiards at Le Swimming on St. Laurent. A slightly disappointing cocktail stop at Bubbles (great champagne list, though pricey, fair appetizers). Schwartz's is the best!!! Cheap, good and funky.

We stayed at the new Hotel St. Paul in Vieux Montreal where Cube is located. The staff was very helpful and the hotel is beautiful.

Again, thank you for the local advice. Unfortunately we only had time for the "beaten track" but will return to try some of the Lebanese bakeries and other attractions on another trip. Bon appetit!
