Graduation lunch May 2014

We are wanting to find a good place for lunch for about 8 people after our son's Tulane Graduation. We are going to Commander's Palace on Sunday for brunch. We have been to New Orleans several times but usually eat and drink our way thru and don't do a lot of planned sit down meals. Everyone who is attending likes all types of food! Would like to be able to make a graduation since we will have a couple of older people with us also.

  1. Is the graduation on Saturday? What time? I am assuming that the "graduation" in your last sentence
was supposed to be "reservation." Do you want to stay uptown? FQ?

    1. Yes…I meant reservation in that last line. Graduation is at 9 or 9:30 so figured we would probably be wanting to eat between 1 and 1:30 so as not to hurry. If we are early we can always get drinks. Graduation is at the Superdome so we are flexible with where we go.

      1. Borgne in the Hyatt would be good. Also possibly the back room at Luke, tho a longer walk

        1. Looks like the date is Saturday, May 17. Lunch on Saturday can be difficult. Here is a CBD list: 5Fifty5,
Borgne, Café Adelaide, Domenica, Luke, Ruth's Chris Steak House, Windsor Court Grill Room.

In the French Quarter: Antoine's, Bayona, Bourbon House, Galatoire's,
K-Paul's Kitchen, Mr. B's, Muriel's, Nola, Red Fish Grill, Rib Room.

Warehouse District: 7 on Fulton, Grand Isle,
          Rene Bistrot, Root.

My personal recommendation would be Murielle's on Jackson Square. You can usually park on St. Anne at the Place d'Armes Hotel. Congratulations on no more tuition payments!

          1. Thanks! We looked at Borgne and Muriel's. Think it is down to one of them. We couldn't get reservations at Luke's. Appreciate the help
