Cuisine Quebecois (or not)

My family is gathering in Montreal for the first time since the 70's for a combination 50th birthday & 60th wedding anniversary. I need some ideas for a special dinner that will be memorable. One of my parents has very poor eyesight and will need a cooperative kitchen that might adapt presentation to make it easier to deal with (sauces on the side, no stacking etc).
Any suggestions?
