where is a fun restaurant in west hollywood, venice or the wetside to take out of town guests. Maybe with something different or some action. Any ideas?

You might try Papa Cristo's Big Fat Thursday Night Greek Dinner. One giant party with belly dancing and all. A giant
Greek party, One family style seating on Thursdays evenings only.

You could always consider "Legendary Bingo" http://www.yelp.com/biz/legendary-bin... (its next time at Hamburger Mary's in WeHo is on Feb. 26) for a little drag queen bingo with your dinner. They have other "event" as well: http://hamburgermarys.com/weho/

        1. Buy a bottle if ketchup
        2. Go to Father's Office
        3. Order
        4. Ask for ketchup
        5. Then whip out your own bottle.

Sit back and watch the action.

          Good medical insurance preferred.

A starring role in the porn industry could be had if one is that big of a dick...

What do you mean by "fun". Dan Tana's in West Hollywood is a lot of fun if you sit in the bar room. Always a lot of action buzz and interesting people. The steak is outstanding.

Don't know if Thai Elvis is still at The Palms, but that used to be fun. And, although the food is not great, I think the Magic Castle is a kick. I went fairly recently for the first time in years....and it's just a fun experience. It's a club, so the best way to go is to get a guest pass from a member. If you don't know anyone, you can buy a "temporary" membership. It's not cheap, and I think you have to have dinner as well. But...if you have a guest pass, you can just go to the bar (after saying the "secret word" to make the door open) and then have appetizers upstairs and check out as many shows as you want to see.

Thai Elvis may have left the building... Or he may have become a Chowhound.

I have mixed reports saying he's back, though. Somebody go and confirm.

Depending on when your guests are here you could consider the monthly grilled cheese and beer night at Andrew's Cheese Shop on Montana in Santa Monica.
