goat milk source- Westchester?

i_eat_a_lot_of_ice_cream Feb 22, 2014 12:00 PM

I am experimenting with making cheese and I want to try making goat cheese. I need goat milk that is not ultrapasteurized. I am going to try whole foods but was wondering if anyone has seen it anywhere in Westchester. Thanks!

Maybe Butterfield Farm (which comes to the Pville Farmers Market) could help? Nice people.

Spa, thanks for the suggestion. They take special orders for goat milk & will bring it to the market!

That's terrific! Nice people. You'll have to let us know how the cheese works out.

You may be able to get goats milk right from Lanza Farms in Garrison (thanks Mister Bill for the link to the article that mentions this place):

            Pretty sure it's ultrapasteurized, though.
