Here's a link to the nomination thread: http://chowhound.chow.com/topics/965922
Vote once in ALL CAPS. If your vote is not submitted in ALL CAPS it will not be tabulated.
Voting will be open until 11:59 PDT on February 28th.

Look we can do lamb, chili, tartare, blue foods, etc. in April, or May, or June...
But there's only ONE 3/14, dammit!
PIE, I say!!!

re: J.L.
Pi Day is celebrated on March 14th (3/14) around the world. Pi (Greek letter “π”) is the symbol used in mathematics to represent a constant — the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter — which is approximately 3.14159.
Pi has been calculated to over one trillion digits beyond its decimal point. As an irrational and transcendental number, it will continue infinitely without repetition or pattern. While only a handful of digits are needed for typical calculations, Pi’s infinite nature makes it a fun challenge to memorize, and to computationally calculate more and more digits.

re: wienermobile
Now to the other kind of national pie day: Which pie should you choose for your National Pie Day party? The piesibilities are endless! Will it be one of the 231 varieties of apple pie, the favorite of 36 million Americans? Perhaps pumpkin pie, which was first introduced to the holiday table at the pilgrim's second Thanksgiving in 1623? Or maybe a pecan pie, which is the third most popular choice in our nation of pie lovers?

re: Dirtywextraolives
I think J.L. should get docked for voting twice.
Not that that's really going to matter much ... even with just 1% of the precincts reporting.

PIE
Now, for those of you who voted for lamb, I will support that choice in April. But I agree with the clear (so far) majority, it's gotta be pie for pi, 3/14.

Then as a further gesture of support: I will also vote for whatever tickles your fancy next month. :)
