I've passed by many times en route to the posh (compared to other venues) Landmark cinemas but finally stopped in this afternoon. Fries were good, although I wouldn't be able to taste the difference vs. Fritz or Belgian Fries, along with the garlic mayo dip. Didn't partake in the beer or wine but surprised to see the selection. I've often seen it busy during weekend evenings.

Around the corner is a new outlet of Hub with nice views of the Fraser. http://www.hubrestaurant.ca/new-west....

I've been wanting to...they have a surprisingly good beer selection. Stumbling distance to Skytrain is a plus.

just mind the gap ; )

in all seriousness - it is nice change to hear reports of places outside the usual topics on here - and places.

new west has lots of potential - and i am sure will be a future star for its stop along convenient train transit.

Speaking of New West Station area, I love Longtail Kitchen in River Market a lot. It's like a cheaper, casual Maenam but the quality and execution is still great. I'm looking forward to their Malaysian longtable pop-up dinner this Saturday :)
