black eyed pea pork chop recipe

I am new to this board so forgive me if I am posting in the wrong place. There is a chain called black eyed pea and they make these really good pork chops. They must be marinated in something and I just can't figure out what it is. I wonder if someone can help me who has been there and has an idea how to make these. thanks.

  1. I'm not familiar with this chain restaurant and you seem to have gotten no responses here on Home Cooking. Maybe you could try asking on the Chains board.

    1. I can't seem to find the chains board. I am blind and use a talking computer and sometimes I miss things.

      1. IDK about that particular chain restaurant but might the pork chops be simply brined? It does a lot to impart flavors.

they could be but it has a bit of a smoky flavor. and they are moist so I would say they are brined. thanks

Use of smoked paprika, Liquid Smoke, or they might spend some time in a smoker.

        2. I don't know if this will help you or not, but here is a link to the chains board.

If that doesn't work, you might want to flag your own post to get the moderators to move it to the chains board. The flag button is the 5th button on the line immediately below your original post. Hope this helps.

I am not familiar with that chain either, but perhaps the smokey flavor is simply coming from being grilled.

          1. great you did find and send me to the chains board. I don't know how you found it cause I did a search for chains and chains board. this board is a little difficult to navigate with a screen reader. but we are doing it. to chat with me directly it is
