We were told last fall that Whirlpool the owner of Jenn Aire is pushing this brand to be their top of the line. We weren't told they were the best or anything, but that they were being pushed. When we decided to order Bosch, the sales person said something like, "Well that's top of the line."

I don't know what the current stuff is like, but the older stuff had many complaints. How it is now, I don't know.

Hate our jenn aire cook top... the "grill side" takes up two burners sides. .. and the vent hood is noisy..it is a pain to clean and the grease drains into a gross collection jar type thing... if you dont keep everything emmculate it smells for days after cooking....

our house is pretty old though.. older than me...

We have a Jenn Air electric convection/radeient oven and in 26 years have only replaced the convection fan blade assembly once.

But they are not making them like they used to!

We looked at Jenn Air when we remodeled 2 years ago. We weren't planning on the entire kitchen being the same brand so we were shopping piece by piece. We ended up passing on all the Jenn Air appliances we looked at. The oven didn't have any ball bearing racks in it, couldn't figure that out at all. The KA (also owned by Whirlpool) did, so that's what we bought. The range top just didn't do anything for us and it was considerably more expensive. The Consummer Reports reliability section usually isn't all that kind to JA either.
