Steak in mid coastal Monmouth County?

OK, so where are you all going for good steak in coastal Monmouth County from Long Branch to Brielle? Ivans and Andys had good steak but that went down hill until it finally closed...Don't think Brennans is that good...I'm searching...Don't think this new Firebirds is going to do it!
So, Where to go?

Take the extra 10 minute commute from Brielle to Point Pleasant and give Ship Wreck Point a try. Right on the inlet it's about the best around.

Char in Red Bank is finally getting their act together.

Copper Canyon in Atlantic Highlands has an excellent NY Strip.

Colts Neck Inn (not coastal I know) put's out a decent product but since regaining their liquor license I think their prices are a little out of sort.

You are correct Brennans is average at best and Ivan and Andy's was just a debacle. (good quality but not restaurateurs)

Top three steaks in all of the Mon/OC - In no particular order:

      Ribeye at Mossutto's in Wall

NY Strip at Surv in Manalapan

NY Strip/Porterhouse* at Shipwreck Point in Point Pleasant

*Mrs. Z would say the Bone-in Filet here is her favorite.

        Maybe we'll give Mossutto's a try.

Is the steak at Shipwreck Point better than at Shipwreck in Brielle? Shipwreck Grill is one of my favorite restaurants...

Shipwreck Point is pretty much the "steakhouse" you would've hoped the folks from the Grille opened.

I don't recommend Surv anymore since the recent loss of their excellent chef.

If ChefMd's no longer at the helm, I can't say I'd hold to my recommendation either. Bad news, indeed.

Angelina, did you just randomly stumble across that or do you have it set up by zip code or something. I downloaded the app and want to see what its all about. So if you have any tips, I am all ears.

Hi Corvette Johnny. I have bought before from living social. I don't know how I found it, must have been a year ago. I have bought facials, and restaurant deals. Just be careful with some of the restaurant deals. SOmetimes they have certain times, days or not being able to order off of the specials menu. I always read the fine print first!

Here is a link for brunch at the restaurant: (Groupon)

If you liked Ivan and Andy give Brandos a try. I know a guy who's worked in both kitchens and he says Brando's steaks are better.
