Firebirds Wood Fired Grill, Monmouth Mall?

Anyone been to this new restaurant at the Monmouth Mall? I see that it is a chain (which I usually avoid) but was talking to someone who had been there and they liked it a lot.

  1. Ummmm I just posted my review of the place. lol Brilliant minds think alike Susie!!

    1. WOW. I found the prices to be extremely high. Must be really high rent. Also, nothing on the menu I'd want to try.. especially at those prices!

Agreed. Those prices are insane for a chain restaurant in a mall in NJ.

      2. The menu actually reminds me of Houston's back when they first arrived in NJ....

        1. Well, against my better judgment we went to Firebirds last night....

What can I say, it was "Chain "restaurant quality food....I had a Filet Mignon wrapped with bacon...it was quite tender but the only flavor was the bacon. Caesar Salad was average at best and Steak Fries, nothing special ..My son had Prime Rib and again it was just OK...he gets a really good one at McGillicuddy's in Loch Arbour and said this didn't even compare. His baked potato which was huge was good.

.Good selection of wines. They have wine on tap which my son had and said it was quite good. Service was outstanding...

I'm sorry to see all the chain restaurants now at Monmouth Mall and all the people swarming to them.

I tried to warn you!!!! Lol How crowded was it and what time did you go? I was shocked to be the ONLY person in the place at 9pm on Wed.

We went around 6:30 and were seated immediately, but it was packed...and it's a large space...

Monmouth Mall is becoming a Chain Restaurant Mecca...Driving by some of the others such as Bobby's and Joe' s they also seemed to be crowded....

No prices listed in the online menu; must be too fancy for me...

No Mark it's not too fancy for you, you are too good for them!

Mark, go to "Locations", then click on Eatontown, THEN on "Dinner" on right side and you will see prices. Yeah, the menu without the prices is a generic one. Sure, prices will be higher and lower based on what's available and what people are willing to pay I'm sure!
