Dinner for one in Lexington

Jmrous Feb 19, 2014 04:18 PM

Hello local foodies,
I'm making my maiden voyage to Kentucky on Monday. It's a brief work related in and out. One dinner, by myself, on Monday night. I'm flying into Louisville, staying in Lexington. Have a car. What are my best options? I eat everything and economical is not my priority. Looking forward to ideas!
Thanks, Jenny

Check out Village Idiot, A La Lucie is a funky little joint with great food. Also there's Grey Goose. Alfalfa is my daughter's favorite restaurant anywhere, well, except maybe Zen Zero in Lawrence, KS.

If you're driving and have some daylight left, Wallace Station in Midway is great for sandwiches and burgers. And the drive from there into Lexington on Old Frankfort Pike goes through some beautiful horse country.

West 6th brewery has some good beers and a seafood restaurant next door. There's likely to be a food truck parked out front as well.
