I had never really paid much attention this restaurant, so I just looked at the menu. It all looks pretty good to me. What is so "tough" about the menu? And what's the deal with the burger that you don't recommend it? Just curious. Thanks.

If I recall correctly they will only serve it well done.

The old burger had pork fat ground into the patty so it could never be served underdone. Always well done. The new chef maybe changed that I think.

I'm not really following this. So the new chef decreed that all burgers are to be well done? Any reason why? Sorry, I don't mean to be dense, but I don't get it.

I am thinking the new chef may have changed the burger so that it doesn't have pork in it any more. Pork = well done.

                I see. Thank you.

    2. I go there pretty often, albeit mostly to drink. The beer list is fantastic. As to food, the tete de cochon, the beef tartare, and the deviled eggs are the best Apps. For main courses, the lamb shoulder and cote de boeuf are excellent, but require 2 people. The curried mussels are also quite good, and their fries are delicious.

      1. I loved the licorish tree cocktail, it has pernod which is a love/hate flavor

        1. The deviled eggs, for sure. Get two orders.

The mussels I had once weren't great, but a friend's duck cassoulet was pretty awesome.

          1. I've always wanted to try their "nose to tail" dining experience.
