was at va bene with my husband celebrating our 17th anniversary. we went there on our 1st date 18 years ago (before we went bowling) We were not so impressed. we had salmon carpacio, artichokes roman style (hubby says not so great), branzino which was wonderful, pasta dish where the pasta itself was great but the sauce was too salty and chocolate filled crepes which were really good. The bread that resembles matza that I was looking forward to was also salty and the regular bread was eh. Is it just the memories of that meal or has the food gone down in quality?
