What to do with Pomegranate Vinegar?
I bought a bottle of pomegranate vinegar from Trader Joe's to make salad dressings and for use in cooking. But I don't really have a clue what to do with it since I can't really find recipes using the vinegar--most recipes use cranberry juice + another vinegar.
I've seen some good ideas on this post: http://www.reddit.com/r/food/comments...
But I'm looking for actual dressing/sauce recipes that branch from the normal vinegar + oil + mustard + dried seasoning.
Oven roasted vegetables such as brussel sprouts. Try tossing the sprouts with the pom vinegar and maple syrup and evoo.
Make a gastrique with the vinegar and honey. Use with seared pork.
i made jalapeno jelly with my bottle of pomegranate vinegar. It knocked everyone's socks off. It was, and I'm not exaggerating, the best jalapeno jelly I had ever tried.
here is the link to the recipe i followed:
Since I only had 1 bottle of vinegar I divided the ingredients by half, and I took the seeds out of the peppers
