'TANGERINE' Asian Cuisine - A different kind of 'Wow'! The BAD kind!!

A couple of foodie friends and I met up at this 'Indian Hakka Chinese Cuisine' place, way out east on Markham Road, to try out some supposedly delicious, spicy and 'fusion' Asian food.
The place was packed at around 8.30 pm with customers lining up at the doorway. Our party of 3 was asked to share a table with another waiting couple. After settling down, we noticed our table was located next to a broken window with freezing air leaking from all sides!! Nothing we can do since there were no other available tables to move to!!
Spicy hot food with freezing cold air! Now that's a perfect combo!! Ha!
Based on recollection of past visits and recommendations, we ordered a number of supposedly awesome tasting Paneer dishes prepared various ways.... Spicy Garlic Sauce, Chili Garlic sauce, Bombay style. For meat protein, we settled for a Chicken Pakora and a Crispy Ginger Beef ( since two of us were from Ginger Beef's birth place - Calgary! )
The Paneer dishes were major disappointment. All the dishes were either bland and under-seasoned or the fried morsels mushy and not crispy enough.
The Ginger beef was crispy and quite sweet and tasty. But!! Where's the BEEF??!! All I manage to pick up were pieces after pieces of crispy batter smothered with the syrupy sauce.
If it wasn't for the piping hot, nicely spiced and crunchy Pakora, the evening would have been a TOTAL disaster!
After going home and checking our bill, we noticed the restaurant actually added a 'service charge' to our bill without informing us!! Wow! We ended up giving them in excess of 30% tips!!
WOW! This pseudo fast food joint first have us shared a table, then blasted us with freezing air, next, offered us mediocre and badly prepared food and finally still have the gall to charge us a 'special administrative fee' behind our back!! WOW INDEED!!!
Man! What a bum night!
