I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHERE I CAN BUY BEEF INTESTINES IN JACKSONVILLE, FL OR A VENDOR THAT YOU CAN ORDER ONLINE.

    1. Most of the Super-Walmarts sell some RUMBA products... They're really good quality... Tripe, Tongue, Kidneys, Sweetbreads, Beef Cheek, Oxtails, & Tripa (intestines)...

      http://www.rumbameats.com/product/bee...

Cruise thru their site... Lots of fun stuff....
      I love all that!

        Tripe is not intestines though

Walmart by me has decreased their RUMBA products. I was getting beef cheeks at one time

I bought their beef cheeks once, and was completely disgusted at the amount of inedible garbage that was in the package.

Yeah I had to clean away a lot of fat. But the resultant meat was good. But it had been my only access to beef cheeks

I knoooow. I'm spoiled, I know, because my French butcher used to sell beautifully-trimmed chunks of cheek meat -- no tendons, no huge wads of fat.

I don't mind trimming, but when I throw away 25-30% of the package I start to get pretty disgruntled.

I stand corrected Mild Bill. After looking at their website, Tripa is intestines.. I assumed it was tripe

        3. Try any Mexican Market that has a butcher counter, in Sarasota there are several Mexican groceries that have butchers, I have found Beef intestines, Beef tripe, fresh Beef tongue, and various other Offal items at these stores.

osprey, have you found any that carry beef cheeks? I've been haunting Latin markets from Sarasota to Tampa and thus far have found everything but.

Every one of them (and mainstream butchers, too) has told me that their minimum order from their suppliers is a 60-pound cryopack. While I'm willing to take a fair amount of it, there's no way I can take 60 pounds of cheeks.

              Hi Sunshine,
Try, La Sabrosita Taqueria and Tortilleria at 3070 17th, near N. Lockwood Ridge, in addition to the tortilleria, they have a grocery, small dining room, and a full service butcher. For prepared food to eat in or take out it is very good, I have purchased Lengua from the butcher and I believe they had Beef Cheeks.

Cool! Thanks so much -- I'll have to get down there one of these days.
