Salad bar with Carousel Horse - Colonie?

Trying to remember the name of a restaurant in Colonie (?), perhaps Albany. Nice place, with a large round salad bar that had a carousel horse in the middle of it. This was in the 80's. Name? Is it still open?
Thanks!

  1. That might have been a restaurant located at the intersection of Western Av (rt 20) and Fuller Rd. I don't recall the name right now, but if that was it, it is no longer in business. The building was demolished and replaced with a Burger King and a Ninety Nine restaurant. I'll check with some other friends to see if they recall anything more exact.

    1. My friends remind me that the building was originally Aunt Jemima's Pancake House and then became Coco's when it had the carousel. It was one of the first buffet restaurants in the Albany area as I recall. It's location was as I stated in my earler posting. I hope this helps you.

      1. I think the name of the restaurant was Chef Italia on Western Avenue. Loved their salad bar.

Yes, Diane, Chef Italia was another reincarnation of the building before it was eventually demolished.
