Martin Beratagui in SS v Lasarte in Barcelona
Lasarte last year was superb. Been to many 2 & 3 stars, it topped most (all?). Each plate was excellent but the standout was how they worked together. The meal was an integrated symphony, not a series of separate foodie spectaculars. Wine list also excellent. Don't recognize "SS". Do you mean Cinq Sentits? CS (more avant garde) is totally different than Lesarte (more traditional) and both are definite musts. Heard good things re Dos Palillos, but ran out of time.

She probably means Martin's flagship restaurant outside of San Sebastian (actually in the town of Lasarte), as opposed to his satellite restaurant 'Lasarte' in Barcelona.
She's wondering if the cuisine is similar or if it's different enough that she could dine at both without feeling a sense of repetition.
