Harry's Blue Bell Tap Room

Trusted friends, food industry and restaurant owners themselves, have reported that they enjoyed their first visit to Harry's. Nice place, good location, and a nicely executed eclectic menu. No first hand knowledge but we will give it a try near term. Any one been there?

Interesting question: I don't know for sure.

Just checked Harry's Hospitality Group site...the DE one...no mention of the Blue Bell joint.

The owner of Harry's restaurant group is Xavier Teixido, the owner of Harry's taproom is Harry Himes

    2. Where in blue bell is this place? Did it replace something else?

This is the shoppes at village square shopping center, where you also have Radicce among other restaurants.

Yes it is. It is a small restaurant with a good variety of beers. The friends had the burger and fish taco. Both were deemed very good. Being a Tap Room I would not expect it to have much more than drinkable (quite subjective) wine, but that is only a guess.

      2. I am looking forward to reviews. I hope they have decent wine....

          1. We went last night. We sat at the bar, and the bartenders did a good job and were personable. We had fried mozzarella with marinara, which we enjoyed. I had the fried grouper sandwich, which unfortunately had been fried to within an inch of its life, so it was pretty dry. Fries for both of our dishes came out cool. My husband said his burger was good. It was very busy, and they are new, so I'll give it another try. The menu is interesting, focused on bacon.

What sort/number of beers do they have on tap or by the bottle? Doesn't seem to say on the website.

When I pushed it, nothing appeared. But I guess they fixed it.

I think I counted about 15 -20 craft beers on tap. They also have a nice selection by the bottle.

The selection is pedestrian ... PJ whelihans across the street has a superior selection and Capones is 5 minutes away.

You're right. Welihans has a larger selectiion but they carry big brand beers (Coors, Miller, Bud, etc.) and they should, it's a sports bar. Harry's only carries craft beer. 15 on tap just checked the website. That's a great selection. Don't get me wrong I like Whelihans too but they are two entirely different places. Love Capones! That's a great beer menu too!

I wouldn't call that list "pedestrian". It's better than 98% of the bars in the 'burbs. But I don't doubt there are much better lists in the area too.
