Las Vegas.... dining decions
so my new husband and I are going back to vegas... we have gone several times and have eaten at amazing places such as Commanders Palace, Picasso, Aureola, Fleur de Lys, Emerils to name just a few...
so here is my dilema, we have made reservations for Rosemary's (which I can not wait... I think I already know what I want to order based on others recommendations and seeing their menu)... so we are looking for another place that maybe I haven't thought of yet, or possibly even looked that is not going to kill the bank roll... okay with $100 to $150 per person, but for us, it is about the food and the experience, not the cost (think quality, not quantity)...
so can you please give me some great suggestions, we love all kinds of food and welcome all suggestions...
You've probably already read about Lotus of Siam - a great and fairly inexpensive Thai restaurant. I'm sure you can find a ton of comments on this board.
Another possibility is L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon. Joel Robuchon is a major French food god, who recently was persuaded to open two restaurants in the MGM Grand Hotel. L'Atelier is the informal one of the pair. Most seats are at a food counter, to give you an idea of the atmosphere. With care, you won't bust your budget. I highly recommend the tasting menu, at about $100/person.
Try Michael Mina at Bellagio. Was there last weekend and it was fabulous. Seafood and one or two meat dishes at dinner. My friend who only eats seafood commented that the sole was the best she's ever had. They also do a spectacularly good mashed potato with lobster as a side and my lamb chops were yummy. Pricey but worth it.
