Valentine's Day 2014
Where did you go (food shop/restaurant), what did you eat, and was it everything you hoped it would be?
We are having dungeness crab, and wine and veggies and bread at home as we've discovered Valentine's Day at a restaurant is a whole new level of challenge, cost and sport.
And I felt awfully less wussy, even vindicated, after reading this -
BTW - my husband is still buying me ice cream for lunch - I'm only human : )
My DH is out of town tonight, so last night I gave him a huge bag from Soma, heavy on the "Old School" chocolate bars. Fortunately he will share.
We also made reservations at Bero for a belated Valentine's dinner.
We had takeout from sushi2go (5 funky rolls), with Antica Formula Vermouth, Chateau des Charmes Brut Rose MC 2010 VQA NOTL, Stoney Ridge Excellence Chardonnay 2010 VQA Lakeshore, and a St. Emilion, also with chicken livers in a haggis mode with steel-cut oats that my wife made.
Leftovers tomorrow, including the wine...and yes, we had all our clothes on.
