Mee Sum Pastry at the Market--renovation or closure??

I hiked all the way across the city yesterday with a major hankering for a hom bow from Mee Sum at Pike Place, only to find that all of their appliances were gone and the space was totally cleared out. Signs and framed accolades are still up, but no pastries to be found. This was at around 4:45pm.

Does anybody know what's happening to my favorite snack stop?

I'm sure if you just call their U District location they can tell you.

Could be wrong, but I didn't think the U Dist Mee Sum and the Pike Place one were actually related. Looking at the U District one's website, there's no mention of the other location at all. But then again it would be silly to have two places called Mee Sum in the same town serving a lot of the same stuff...

They're the same place. They have business cards that list both.

They are the same owners. Call them, and let us know.

Both locations were listed on the website moments before I posted.

According to The Eater, they resumed service Thursday.

Thanks for the help, y'all! I'd been looking at this site (http://www.meesumseattle.com/), which was totally unhelpful. So very happy to hear that something unspeakable hadn't happened to my favorite place.

Looks like I've got a walk to take now.
