Baxter's Burgers KEANSBURG.

I've gone three times. Burger has been very good all three times. Fries have been extraordinary. 1st visit, bacon cheeseburger, and a Hawaiian Chicken Burger, and of course fries. The chicken patty was really good, seasoned like an Italian Fennel Sausage. I'm not a big Teriyaki and Pineapple fan, but the Italian version sounds pretty good for my next visit. 2nd time in Double Bacon Cheeseburger, and of course the Fries. 3rd visit Bacon Cheeseburger and Fries. I loved Boom, and I think the burger meat at boom was better, but this has been the best burger I've had since Boom - but the fries are better than Boom's ever where. (let's include Little Master's Grill too).

You can be 'anyway' you'd like. It really doesn't make the burgers look any different.

        Truthfully it does...

As someone who knows various court officials and police police officers in that town and surrounding towns, Ive heard enough to have no desire to venture into that town. So you could have drew araneo from drews bistro flipping burgers there and I still wouldn't consider it. In my mind it makes a world of difference.

If you're holding the weekly police blotter up as a stay away sign you can place Atlantic Highlands, RB, Neptune and AP on that list just to name a few restaurant hubs we all talk about on CH just as easily and you'd miss out on some fine grub in the process.

Don't punish an entire town let alone a business community for bias that would cripple any town.

Earlier today when you were telling me to "stay hopeful" about RB and to re visit, I took that recommendation as insider information. You might want to apply the same genteel logic to this thread.

Middletown is going to hell in a hand basket as well if you just read the police blotter.

I posted a thread about Baxter's Burgers awhile ago and there where no replies.

A small family owned place putting out good quality burgers at a good price. Isn't that what chowhound is about?

I've walked to this place at night with my wife, and its perfectly fine. There isn't much going on at all down there since Sandy.

Of course that is what CH is all about. Lcd's remark really surprised me.

My son and I checked out Baxter's and enjoyed our meals.

Sorry to ruffle feathers. Furthest thing from my intentions! I wish the proprieters all the success in the world, I just dont like the things occuring in town there that I have been informed of.
I should have showed a little more restraint in my prior responses.

It's not hard to find, it's located between Union Beach and Port Monmouth...

      3. The food pics on FB look good. I know it's free to have a FB page as opposed to a true website but I hate it. I prefer a pdf menu.

That's why when a local establishment does not have an online presence I try to get hold of a menu, scan it into a PDF file and post it here.

They do have some crappy but legible picture's of their menu in the picture section of their facebook page.
