Northwest Portland

My adult daughter and I are going to spend five days in Portland in April. We'll be in Northwest Portland and, of course, hanging out in Powells.
What restaurants should we go to? We'll be eating out most lunches and dinners. Mostly casual and mid-priced although I'd like to have one nice dinner somewhere. We'll have a car but I'd like to experience Portland itself as much as possible.

Lunch at the elephant deli and grill at least once. Go for the food and for the energy. You might take out something for dinner one night as well. For a really nice dinner, there is Wildwood. I've only been there once, but it is very nice, and my food was quite good. Other, more knowledgeable people will know of other good eateries.

Portland is casual, so no worries there. But it would be helpful to know what mid-priced means to you (a $$ amount per person without alcohol) and might be helpful to know where you are coming from so we don't steer you towards food you can get in your own home town!
