About two years ago a Korean restaurant opened up in my hometown, located in the suburbs outside of Philly. But my mom went and was very disappointing in the food. I'm hoping to take her to somewhere else.
Anyone know where there is authentic Korean food in Philly?
I am not familiar with Korean food scenery inside Philly, but I like Mirim located in Langhorne.
The owners are Koreans. While the Korean menu section is small (compared to the Japanese section), the Korean food is where it really shines. I tried a couple of other Korean restaurants, but this is the best I have had in the NJ/PA area.
This is not to say that there aren't better ones.
Jong ka jib in olney is fantastic. The soon du bu is incredible especially in this kind of weather.
For reference here is a slightly old discussion of Korean food some in Philadelphia, some in the suburbs.

I really don't think we have a full view of all of the Korean restaurants in the Cheltenham area, There are several on Broad that I drive by on my way to East Oak Lane,
I've enjoyed all my Korean BBQ meals at Koko in North Wales, although the Yelp reviews are all over the place. Conveniently, it is located right next to Assi plaza, the best Asian grocery store in the area (I get all my fish there).
Oishii in Newtown (18940 Bucks County) is good. The chefs are Korean but cater to the sushi crowd, too. The food is good quality especially if you call ahead and ask for the owner/wife can do something more authentic.
