This new Japanese/Asian Fusion has become our "go to" place. The layout isn't ideal, the sushi bar and 2 tables on the main level and restaurant up a flight of stairs. Upstairs there is a large bar and a dozen tables for seating.
The menu is more diverse than most Japanese restaurants. DH loves sushi, however, I prefer cooked dishes. There are many dishes for me to select from. My favorite appetizer is the homemade dumplings. Larger than gyoza-think small empanada sized, with a pork meatball stuffed inside. The portion comes with 6 and a nice dipping sauce. For main dishes I have enjoyed the steak teriyaki, they also have several kinds of noodles, ramen, udon and rice. Each can be sautéed or served with broth. They add chicken or shrimp. I have found each to be very satisfying on a cold winter night.
This place is near the Rye train station. Parking is fine during non-commuting hours. We like this place, I hope they do well.
