We'll be at Spring Hill Suites. Looking for suggestions on Italian, Pizza/pasta places, American, Spanish, or any non-Asian casual place for dinner for 6 people. I'd say food cost per person is up to $30 per. Allows BYOB (with or without corkage fee) prefered, but not required.

Thanks.

  1. How far are you willing to travel? Would you drive to South Philadelphia?

I'm meeting up a friends, also from out of town, to catch a show at Swarthmore that night.

I'm sorry that I don't know the area and its proximity (it's my first time) to the rest of Philadelphia. It would be safe to say that we will prefer not to stray far from Ridley Park or Swarthmore areas as there is a show to catch.

Your hotel is in an industrial wasteland south of the airport and there really is nothing around there. Now that you have told us you are meeting folks around Swarthmore, you would be best to eat near the show. I think others would be best to offer recommendations, as the restaurants I know in the area are for the most part Asian.

You do have the Iron Hill Brewery in Media that offers casual food, and decent beer that could do in a pinch.

    2. In down town Ridley Park there's only one sit down place to eat, The Gas Light near the train station. They have their own bar and no BYOB. Down town Ridley Park also offers several good take-out places: China Wok, Double Decker. There's steaks and hoagies and Little Hut on Chester Pike is legendary for their flaming rooster. Also on Chester Pike is Casey's but they have their own bar as well and no BYOB. Past that, you have to look outside the donut hole that is Ridley Park at the donut, which is Ridley Township where Spring Hill Suites is actually located w/ a Ridley Park post office.

Ridley Township has several venues on MacDade Blvd that Ridley Park does not offer - but that's Riidley Township. Ridley Park is walkable at night, safe, and we have several bars and a billiard room and a hooka lounge - a nice environment for a fun night out to walk around town.

And last, down town Ridley Park has a Pennsylvania Liquor store just in case you need more BYOB.
