Savannah Reception - please help!

  • 3

Hi - thanks for taking the time to read this. I'm not from Savannah, but am planning a fall reception in Savannah for around 110 guests and would like to find a restaurant with a space for dancing/DJ to have the reception. Popular spots - Vics, Pink house, railroad museum are booked. Not knowing the area its hard to find atypical venue spots; I have found really cool places like Skylers and Bonna Bella's but neither of those can accommodate 100 guests. I would love any suggestions for a reasonably priced potential venue that could hold 100 guests and allows an area for dancing as well. Thank you!!

  1. I wonder if SCAD (Savannah College of Art and Design) has any facilities that they rent out. They seem to have alot of buildings around town, so that might be an option. Of course, it would probably require you to bring in your own caterer.

    1. We had ours at Garibaldis (the upstairs area) and it was fantastic. They were great to work with, we had a band up in the front with room for dancing and they have an area with a bar in back so people can hang out there if they don't want to be in the same room. The room rental was extremely reasonable, we picked 3 things off the menu to be served (guests got to choose) and it was super delicious. We had a smaller group (only 45) but didn't come close to filling the space.

      1. Had our wedding reception @ 45 Bistro in The Marshal House.
