Brioche French Toast?

  • 7

Two days in NYC in a month, looking for one good (Sat/Sun) Brunch perhaps with a good Brioche French Toast? Considering Union Square Cafe for the Pancakes with Bacon Peanut Butter unless I can find some yummy Brioche French Toast. Open to any specials or stuffed French Toasts too. We're staying near Times Square so looking for just places in Manhattan.

  1. Have you ever gone to a Sarabeth's restaurant?

    1. Balthazar / Minetta Tavern brioche french toast
      City Bakery's caramelized french toast
      Jane’s Creme Brulee French Toast

      1. Artisanal, on park avenue south.

          1. Recette's pain perdu is excellent.

            1. Landmarc. It is in the time Warner center at Columbus circle. Third floor. Best pain perdu I have ever had. Wow. Not cheap... but other word-ly it was so good. At the end of breakfast they delivered us cotton candy.

              1. Got the Nutella French Toast at Penelope, sans the caramelized bananas. It was very good. It was a shame the service was lame. Our waitress had attitude, I had gotten a free drink with the BuzzTable app they use for people waiting to get a table. Waitress led me to believe I could get any drink with this. I specifically asked her, can I get the latte with this and she said yes. Also got a drink with my brunch pre-fix. That was certain drinks only so I got the Apple Cider Mimosa. In the end the waitress charged me for the latte and when I questioned it she just said "oh, sorry" and claimed the free drink was for only certain drinks and asked if I wanted another mimosa. I should be reimbursed. I don't think I'll every come back here again. They were very mean and rude about this.
