Coffee, Wifi, open > 10p (preferably until ~midnight)

ns1 Feb 3, 2014 01:39 PM

Am I looking for a unicorn? Something like Spoon by H or Susina would be ideal, but they both close fairly early.

The starbucks by me closes their dining room @ 10p, so that's out of the equation...

Most places in L.A. close at 10p. Go where the late nighters go... Koreatown... Caffe Concerto is open till like 1a...

I would argue that most coffee places in LA are not open @10p, k-town excluded.

Opps! That is what I get for answering a post mid conf. call... I meant closed not open. :P Except in K-Town, although my favorite Brew Well is also closes at 10p.

            no cafe lu.
            challenge accepted.

            cafe168 for bottomless coffee
            gz for topless coffee
cau vong for closest to NoHo

they all have wifi. you can "work" out of MCutie's patio since it's quiet and sorta smoke-free

otherwise, Haus Cafe, cuz...the "coffee hunter" is there. or, Caffe Bene. or, for loud Kpop, Iota.

Assumin Pas is not SGV (and it isn't per a few editors), no SGV coffee is drinkable except at Taza/Cafe de baristas.

If this were reddit I'd upvote you a dozen times. I'm amazed that they all have wifi.

I thought there was an ordinance outlawing topless coffee a while back...

Not topless, just bikini style attire.

If you're at Susina already, why not head a few blocks down Beverly to (the aptly named) Insomnia Cafe?

note to self. don't get the waffles.

the food there didn't wow me but it also didn't offend me.

24hrs is nice especially in the area.

Iota in Korea Town is likely your only bet. Or Intelligentsia on Thurs-Sat (11).

If you don't care that much about the coffee quality, then Pier 212 in Venice is a coffee shop open 24/7.

Try one of my favorite independent coffee houses, Grounded Cafe. It's at 14241 Ventura Blvd. in Sherman Oaks. They're open from 8 am until midnight. There's even seating in the adjoining lobby for extra privacy.

Crave Cafe on Ventura and Van Nuys in Sherman Oaks, though it can be a little scene-y
