Shout out to Wegmans Montgomeryville

They are probably wrapping things up by now but Thanks for the great job on the one day only monster wing bar. I got there around sixish and they were pouring tubs of all different kinds of hot wings into the trays.
Staff was friendly and infomative and patrons were kind. I saw one dude ask a mom and daughter if they wanted any of a certain kind of wing as he had intended to scoop them all up. Turns out the daughter did want a few. They were all delicious. There were even korean fried wings as well as my sunday favorite, simply country fried wings.
I was afraid to go near the chili as I didn't want to go too nuts but they had guac, tortilla chips and boiled shrimp right on the front bar. Usually the guac is in another bar near the bread with the hummus.
Apparently the place started getting really busy around eleven am and there were twenty employees manning the pizza station including some upper management. With Penna's crazy liquor laws I hope they made a killing. Beer, wings, pizza, chili, chips and guac all in one place plus all those desserts.
The pub and coffee bar had some folks watching the game but I guess most people had parties. I got the heck out of there before half time. Hope they have a monster wing bar again before next year. Since I prefer the blades rather than the drummies I was very happy.

As an aside, this is the best grocery store I have visited, and I'm a big Whole Foods guy, but Wegmans in Montgomeryville really nails it.

dndicicco wegmans has been weaning me from my costco additction. I went to costco montgomeryville yesterday and for the umpteenth time they were cleaning the bathrooms fifteen minutes before closing. I know it was almost kick off time but this just keeps happening. I really almost left my cart and walked out. /end rant.
I used to drive to the warrington wegmans and I couldn't be more delighted to have a 24 hour one so close. Haven't been to whole paycheck in ages and I'm even cutting way back on TJs. I always keep my wegmans coffee cup in my car now for emergency refueling. What do you like best about our new wegmans?

We decided not to renew our BJs membership after visiting the Montgomeryville Wegmans. The main reason we went to BJs was San Pelligrino and they have it for a better price at Wegmans.

Try the Wegmans Aqua in the blue bottle (sparkling Italian mineral water). I can't tell it from the Pelligrino!

Wegmans has great prices on organic oranges right now. I understand that they have a fantastic return policy and right now the little containers of fresh squeezed blood orange juice are addicting. Plus two sets of bathrooms. No Costco the one seater in the tire center does not count.

I like the inclusiveness of all three food groups for me: the organic hippie stuff, the gourmet frou-frou items, and the mass-market staples.

Well two of my friends got them in the mail. They both get a nice coupon book monthly too for signing up for a new wegmans saver card. I already had a wegmans card so I don't get these amenities so good thing we share.
My last name is misspelled on my card. I could probably cancel it and get a new one.

I have had my Wegman's card for years. I was introduced to Wegman's by my friends near the Poconos. I get the weekly coupons, but that's it.

Well the coupon is only good at the Montgomeryville or KOP Wegmans so it might be that they think you aren't local enough. I'll ask about mine next time I go. The coupon isn't that great as you have to spend 20 bucks to get the free burger but with my friend John that is easy.

I guess I need to move into the store! I am maybe 10 minutes away!

Interesting comments regarding Costco, BJs being usurped by Wegmans. I see this as an "apples to oranges" issue. Certainly for many reasons I prefer Wegmans also but I do not view those mentioned in the same category. Warehouse vs. moderately upscale multi function full retail market.

Actually, I had an unpleasant experience soon after the opening of Wegman’s in Montgomeryville.

I had purchased two boxes of crackers one was obviously stale while the other looked to have been tampered with. I did not keep my receipt for the purchase.

When I returned the items they initially were reluctant to give me either a refund or a store credit without a receipt. When they finally agreed to give me a store credit they insisted that I fill out the form for a Wegman’s card. I don’t use supermarket cards. They finally agreed to give me a store credit. What a hassle!!

From Wegman’s I went across the street to Home Depot and asked their policy on returns. They told me that they accept returns readily even without a receipt.

At Whole Foods in North Wales, I would not be surprised if you could just tell them that the product you purchased last week was not good and they would give you back the money!! Returns at Whole Foods are absolutely no problem and they are sorry that you were inconvenienced.

I am now not a big fan of Wegman’s, I guess that keeping customers happy is not high on their list of priorities.

Totally contrary to what I have found regarding returns and/or complaints. I wonder if your poor treatment was due to the newness of the staff? We do use a store # on purchases. Returning anything for almost any reason at the Collegeville location , even without a receipt has been quite easy. If one believes their Wegmans' policy: you were treated badly. A hassle but I would have requested the store manager intervene.

Once you have a store card, all your purchases are available online, and can easily be verified. Therefore you never need to save a receipt. And unlike when Wegmans opened in Warrington/Warminster you are able to easily put your phone number in so you do not need to carry a card with you at all times.

Whole Foods does not use loyalty cards any longer fwiw. They seem to market in a different way. Wegman's is behaving like a traditional supermarket. Whole Foods builds customer loyalty and tracks things They are testing a new discount card program but not in our area.
