Weeknight places to eat with music? We'll have teens/tweens with us - can they enter bars?

hi all - we're NY'ers visiting NO on the M-F between easter and jazzfest

Our tween/teens all are excited by the 'food and music' aspects of NO - but I was wondering if you had any suggestions to combine them - am I correct that underaged folk can't hang in a bar to listen to the music and drink a soda in the evening?

They're awfully flexible and well-behaved - would love to hear your ideas!

As far as I know most places with music tend to be bars as well and you can't be in there even with parents, after a certain time. That time is usually 8 or so and that's the bars that serve food

Here is a rundown of quite a few music venues with their age restrictions: http://www.neworleans.com/nightlife/c... Snug Harbor, Three Muses, and Irvin Mayfield's Jazz Playhouse will permit all ages, and all three are great places to see music.

Buffa's back room is all ages. The Yuki might be, not sure.
