All inclusive family vacation
Every year in June we take a family vacation. There are three generations ranging in age from four to sixty seven, twelve people total. We used to go to US beach destinations in the southern Atlantic like Hilton Head & St Augustine. Last year we went on a cruise from FL to the Bahamas which was a better venue but it was too hot & a tad boring for me. I rarely went outside. I would like to go to an all-inclusive Caribbean resort where this is more to do and a nice beach.
My brother, who is a bit of a foodie, went to an all-inclusive several years ago and the food was unacceptably bad so he says "I don't want to go on a vacation and eat cafeteria food". He was OK with the food on the Royal Caribbean cruise ship last year so that would be the minimum quality standard. Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced all-inclusive resort that is family friendly, safe and has decent food? I see a lot of deals for the Dominican Republic so that would be OK. My wife refuses to go to Mexico because she got very sick there once. Thanks for your input!
Check the specs and reviews of Paradisus Punta Cana Resort...which seems to fit your criteria nicely.
I was there in December and there's sufficient variety for all ages, especially food. Two buffet centers, six or seven upper scale restaurants included with basic package. Everything was freshly prepared with lots of tropical fruit and vegan choices. The staff is attentive.
After the nightly shows, the bars stay open and there's a side buffet station - with lobster.
Beaches (formerly Sandals) on Providenciales in Turks & Caicos is well located on one of the prettiest beaches in the Caribbean, and is family friendly. Lots of restaurants and dining options, but all all-inclusives will get mixed food reviews. June will of course be hot everywhere in the region.
