Recs for BBQ joint serving "dinosaur" (long beef ribs) in Boca area

HungryLurker Jan 30, 2014 06:06 PM

Howdy Hounders,
Love those 'Flintstone' long beef ribs.
I've occasionally found the bones in supermarkets but haven't had great success cooking/rubbing/slow roasting/grilling them so looking for a place that offers them either a sit down place or somewhere selling good prepared ones.
Any ideas?
Boca area 15 mile radius preferred.

I would like to know where beef ribs can be found.....

Way, way back in the day.....we would go to Sizzler for all you can eat beef ribs......and eat a bunch of them!!

    I do smoke them occasionally myself....and they're a treat....

Try Bru's Room-several locations in the area.

No clue about Flinstone's but 10 minutes south of Boca is Blue Willy's BBQ if BBQ is your craving.

I think the Wagyu beef ribs at Red Cow would qualify. I had one that was slightly overcooked and so a little on the dry side but the rest of the batch was lip smacking good!

"Wagyu" costs them more I guess.

                  How is Red Cow?

I ran into the chef the other night, on his night off, in a great local FtL restaurant (HS).

So I know now, if nothing else, he knows where to eat when he's not in his own place!

(Red Cow is affiliated with Coconuts G&B Oyster Bar, and Foxy Brown).
