Wedding shower venue NW of Boston

I need a place for a bridal shower. 35-40 people. Concord, Bedford, Acton, Littleton, or Westford area. Any ideas?

  1. You will most likely get more answers if you can provide details such:

    -When: immediate?

    -ambiance: casual/low key? Fancy?

-food type:any preference? Italian, Indian, traditional American, etc

-time of day: are you thinking Brunch, Lunch, Dinner, Tea, etc

    -Budget: min/max per person

-Booze: yes/no, included in budget or seperate

The more details you provide the easier it will be for us to help!

I agree but unfortunately I'm working with 7 younger wedding party ladies and two other moms. Decisions on specifics are not coming easily. I think the venue may drive things. What I do know is ..... May or June. Not too fancy. Lunch. Booze nice to have but not mandatory. American or maybe Italian to appeal to all attendees. Only place I know out there for parties is the Colonial Inn. Just need some places to share with the group and get them focused. Any help is appreciated:)

    2. I recently attended a baby shower at Aprile's European in Chelmsford, very nice.

Aprile's Euro is great--I went to rehearsal dinner there a while back. The old mill it occupies is gorgeous.

Cobblestone's in Lowell could also be nice. They have several private rooms set aside for functions (though I've never been to one there, so I don't know how well they handle them).

Cobblestones does a good job with parties, the food is fine, parking is pretty rough.

      2. Try Nashoba winery in Bolton, should be gorgeous in the spring and you can combine wine tasting as an activity.

        1. I held an engagement party for my daughter and future son-in-law at Cobblestones last October. It was held in the French Room and it was a spectacular venue. Everyone was great to work with and the chef worked with me to create the menu that I wanted. The food was delicious.Parking is mostly on street...but it did not present a problem.

          1. .... looks like I have several good choices to forward on. Thanks so much.

Giblet Hill and Fruitlands Museum both have the same exclusive catering company Fireside Catering. They have very high quality and delicious meals for all occasions and events and functions of every size small to large. Worth calling and talking to them. Fireside Catering is in Burlington and is the exclusive caterer for Fruitlands Museum, Moraine Farms in Beverly, LaBella Winery in Amherst NH, The Barn in Groton and is the same owner (The Webber Group) as Giblet Hill.

Very helpful. I love the Barn..... that's definitely on the list. Thank you.

                  2. Gibbet Hill Grille in Groton does lots of weddings so I assume they've done showers too.

I have seen that on line. have you yourself been to a function there? It looks very nice

Nope, just driven past. Pretty surroundings.

I've been there for a few functions. They are very good, but can get pricey. They have an upstairs space that I think could hold 40, not positive. They also have a hall next door to the restaurant that does weddings etc. Might be too big for your needs. Worth giving them a call. The food is very good.
