Dumpling Fest Vancouver 2014 (Feb 7-9)
Yeah. Guess we'll just have to check it out in person.
A bit more here:
The humble dumpling (jiaozi) is the star of Chinese Lunar New Year feasting which kicked off February 9 on Lunar New Year’s Eve. Dumplings – dough filled with meat and veg artfully wrapped into tidy morsels of comfort food – have been a raging global food trend for over 500 years. Many Asian cultures celebrate Lunar New Year; each has their own version of Lunar New Year dumplings.
Taste them all at DumplingFest taking place at Vancouver Art Gallery Plaza 12pm to 8pm Friday, February 15 through Sunday, February 17.
DumplingFest is a part of the annual CIBC LunarFest – a celebration of Lunar New Year (the Year of the Snake) that represents Asian communities including China, Japan, Korea, Vietnam and more. Entry to the cultural shows and lantern jungle is free. Most servings of dumplings will run $7 and under.
