Hilton Head SC "must go to" restaurants
Traveling to Hilton Head for a weeks vacation (never been). I know I can count on fellow chowhounders to point me in the right direction to the best eats Hilton Head has to offer.
VINE!! It's small and a little cramped, but once you start eating you won't care if you are in a cardboard box.
The food it just that good. I have nothing negative to say about this wonderful little gem.
This is what dining out should be like!
And the wine selection is carefully thought out and delightful.
Right at Coligny Beach so an after dinner stroll puts the cherry on top of the evening.
I've lived on HHI for over thirty years and I've seen 'em come and go. Being an Italophile, I'll send you to my favorites.
Michael Anthony's on New Orleans Road (south end). Good food and drink. Bring money.
Il Carpaccio at Pineland Station (mid island). IMO, Eddie is the best chef on the island. Everything is priced right and the wood fired thin crust pizza is worth a visit.
Leaving the best 'til last, Griffin Market, in Beaufort is, IMO, the best Italian in SC and with a million dollar wine collection.
Hope this helps.
