Umami Monte Cristo Burger Now

Heart Attack on a bun? The Umami $15 Monte Cristo Burger, available starting today at all of its locations is an invention of chef Michael Voltaggio, The beef patty is covered in Gruyere fondue and prosciutto inside a vanilla custard-soaked bun … that has also been deep-fried and is topped with powdered sugar and a side of maple syrup. My chest hurts just looking at the photo….

Sounds better in Spanish…..

Considering I don't speak a lick of Spanish, it does sound considerably better.

I don' think I would order it.

The "Monte Cristo" element is kind of ruined by the presence of the burger.

And the bun which is trying to carry the Monte Cristo theme is of [turkey], ham is not enough for me. And, I am a proponent of batter fried MCs.

This Umami Burger is more reminiscent of a hamburger served between two glazed donuts.

But someone got it right ... the PR.

        2. Got a toothache just reading your post.
But heart attack does come to mind, to say nothing of that blown diet.

What do you think the calorie count is?

Don't make the mistake of asking those UMAMI fools for anything. They think they know better than you. I literally asked for extra green chillies one time and was told no by the kitchen manager. I was willing to pay but still no. Many on this board thought my request was unreasonable. LOL.

That will be featured in version 2.0 which will be rolled out in an even more outlandish media campaign masterminded by the burger billionaires .

Still haven't been to umami , but I've probably heard of it hundreds of times . Don't know if they know their burgers .. But they Definately know marketing .

                2. Up until now I did not think Umami could be more unappealing

                  1. they should have replaced the bun with donut halfs.
