Outdoor venue Cleveland-Akron

Looking for an outdoor venue for a 40th anniversary celebration.
Anywhere in the Cleveland-Akron area. Would like to use my own caterer which takes most of the wedding venue spots out of the running.
Thanks for any help & suggestions

Try the Cleveland or Summit County Metroparks systems, or the Cuyahoga Valley NP. Lots of options.

Yes, some nice spots but no alcohol allowed.
The Medina County park system has a perfect venue at Allardale.
Unfortunately there's a conflict with a young lady marrying into the family with us using the same venue.
Sigh.... I look at it from the viewpoint that I was once young and entitled.

I'd look into the Conservancy for Cuyahoga Valley National Park a bit more. I've been to events at Happy Day's Lodge and the Hines Hill center where alcohol was served. The Stone Cottage at the Hines Hill center is lovely.

I wonder what it takes to be able to use one of the Malls downtown. Maybe try contacting the Downtown Cleveland Alliance? 216-736-7799

You can pay a "pass through" fee at some places and bring in your own, just FYI.

You can have alcohol at some of the metroparks locations, I'm pretty sure, but you have to use their caterer, so that's probably out.

I can think of a lot of indoor places where you can bring your own caterer but not a lot of outdoor. Good luck.

highly rec the stanford house in peninsula in the valley. i stayed there a few times back when it was a hostel, loved it, beautiful setting, but looks like it still may be able to be rented out these days:
