Atlanta review

Thanks for the great recs.

Our first stop was lunch at Gu's Bistro. We ordered the dan dan noodles and chengdu style dumplings. The dumplings were fantastic; salt, spicy, sweet, and a touch of sour. We prefer the dan dan noodles at Tasty China in Marietta. Although the noodles were good, the sauce was a bit watered down and lacked any heat.

Next stop was Lee's Bakery for the banh mi. The #4 sandwich was quite good. The bread had great texture and the meat was nicely cooked. The croissant and veggie eggroll were equally as tasty.

After a bit of shopping, we made our way to The Porter Beer Bar in 5 Points. Wow at the selection of beers they have. It was almost overwhelming. Great prices, great selection, and the mac & cheese was worth the trip.

Made it to H&F around 8:15, secured a table around 8:30, and of course the burger was sold out. The cocktails were fantastic. Also tried the deviled eggs, bread box, hot dog, and the sticky toffee pudding. Everything we had was quite lovely. Service was a bit on the pushy side, but otherwise fine.

General Muir for breakfast/brunch in the morning. I was very happy with the burger and my wife was equally as pleased with the biscuits & gravy with brussel sprouts.

Looking forward to our next trip already.
