Pacific Mall coming to Milpitas

The developers behind Pacific Mall in Toronto are venturing into the US and will be bringing their concept to Milpitas. It'll be replacing a few of the empty big box stores in McCarthy Ranch:

      Yes, grew up going there.

      It's 2 floors of small (think one room) stores, similar to what one finds in Hong Kong, in a hangar like space.

      I am not sure there is big enough of an Chinese asian community to sustain a mall of that size. Even in Toronto, vacancy rate for stores in that mall is pretty high. I think the area around it is currently being rebuilt.

      Most of the clientele was bored suburban asian kids with cars. Traffic was always horrible, and there was never enough parking. I only remember going on boxing day, because it was the place that was guaranteed to be open, and it was warm.
