Chinese in Lancaster

Can anyone recommend a good Chinese restaurant in Lancaster? I really miss Chinese New Year celebrations in NYC.

  1. Looking forward to any suggestions. Since moving back to the area, we haven't explored the local Chinese out of fear/expectation of disappointment. Would love to learn of some good options. Worst case scenario you can take a short road trip to R&Z's Ping Pong in Wayne. We stop there on every trip to Trader Joe's.

    1. Let's keep this thread alive! I'd love to find a good Chinese restaurant in the area.

Tried Mojo near Lititz recently with friends and came away unimpressed for a second time. A little bit of everything I tend to dislike about Chinese in the area -- a little too sweet, a little too saucy, no real depth. The textures and flavors that make great Chinese great just weren't there.

But I'm willing to push on. Has anyone had any experience with Hong Kong Garden or Yang's. They've been on my radar for a while, but would love any opinions before we take the plunge.

We love Yang's! Best wonton around, and flavors are always consistent and delicious.

      2. The best Chinese places IMO in Lancaster are the Jade Garden in Mount Joy at the shopping center by Darrenkamp's . This place was remodeled about a year ago and the presentation of the food is exceptional. The service is wonderful and it has become our to go place. Tony Wang's is overrated . I used to love Hong Kong Garden. I haven't been there in about 5 years though.
